John 4:14 (MEV) - “But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water that I shall give him will become in him a well of water springing up into eternal life.”
We believe the Church is constantly moving and operating for the Kingdom of God. In this way the Church is much like a stream that is constantly flowing, bringing life to all that live around it. The Church does this by allowing His love, grace, and mercy to constantly flow into this world.
Throughout history civilizations, cities, towns, and communities have developed next to streams because they provide a constant flow of fresh water. There is nothing more welcoming to someone who is desperately thirsty than a fresh supply of water.
Deuteronomy 8:7 (MEV) - “For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs that flow out of valleys and hills.”
Our vision is that our church can be that stream from which life is drawn in our community. We desire to be that central place that causes healthy sustained spiritual growth to all who come in contact with us by introducing them to the very source of life.
John 14:6 (MEV) - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…”
Just as the blood of Jesus flows from the cross until the end of time (Hebrews 13:8), we as the Church must allow the power of God to flow through us into the World.
Jesus is the stream that will restore you, cleanse you, and give you Life.
John 10:10 - “…I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Because of Water
Water is essential to all life. Everything that is alive requires some amount of water to sustain that life. Even in the driest deserts, living things such as cacti adapt to store and save this vital resource.
John 7:37-38 - “On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, ‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.’”
Jesus speaks of the Holy Spirit in this scripture. Living Water represents the Holy Spirit who is our comforter and guide. It is the Holy Spirit that empowers us with the Gifts of the Spirit to accomplish the tasks and callings set before us. The Holy Spirit is still working miracles today, and it is the power of the Holy Spirit that sanctifies us and flows through us on a daily basis to the glory of the Father and the expansion of His Kingdom.
